Jonathan Ward is one of Australia’s most prominent designers and is recognised for his innovation, creativity & vision. He has upheld a longstanding career in the Australian fashion landscape with over three decades in the business.

Ward is recognised for product excellence with a vast portfolio including women’s couture, women’s ready to wear, school uniforms, corporate uniforms, men’s wear, children’s wear and accessories.

Ward has worked with many of Australia’s corporate elite over the years, however in his pioneering days he spent significant time abroad, training at the prestigious Parsons College of Art Design in New York and subsequently working with global international fashion houses including Yves Saint Laurent, amongst others.

Jonathan Ward Couture has featured in Australian Mercedes Fashion Week. Ward continues today upon appointment only, to design couture evening wear and bridal gowns for Australian and international celebrities, movie stars and personalities.

Ward was Executive Designer at the iconic Australian Company, R.M.Williams, from 2001-15. Throughout Ward’s 15 year tenure with the iconic brand he collaborated with Australia’s influential Corporate’s including Qantas, Tourism Australia, Catherine Martin, Virgin Blue, Westpac, Elders, Emirates & the Australian Paralympic Committee. In 2012 Ward was added to the ‘Australian Fashion Walk of Style’ with R.M.Williams.

Renowned International Woolmark Company invited Jonathan Ward to be an Ambassador and Judge for 8 consecutive years on the Wool4School project 2013 - 2020.

For over 25 years, Jonathan’s extensive schoolwear design experience has been highly sought after by leading independent schools. His dynamic and innovative project team JW Collective manage all aspects of academic and sport wear design, development and manufacturing, leading the Australian school wear market with great success.
